3 million gluten-free bakery jobs join in Wrexham by nike air max
A NEW 3m bakery specialising in gluten-free bread will create 25 jobs.
The new bakery on Wrexham Industrial Estate is claimed to be the most modern gluten-free cheap nike air max shoes bread bakery in Europe and will produce four million loaves a year.
It"s part of a major expansion by the award-winning family-run Village Bakery which was recently named as Britain"s best craft bakery business for the third time.
The new company, Village Bakery (Nutrition) Ltd will create 25 jobs and the 24,000 sq ft unit boasts air max 2009 cutting edge technology.
The firm employs 185 people at its main site in Minera, near Wrexham, where it makes 750,000 loaves, rolls and pies every week.
The site, officially opened yesterday by first Minister Rhodri Morgan, is the air max 90 result of a five-year agreement with the Switzerland-based food company, Hero AG.
He said: "More people are now having to follow a gluten-free diet "" most of them are suffering from an auto-immune condition called coeliac disease.
The gluten-free range will be sold under the Juvela brand in the UK and Ireland where it is already a market leader.
John Phillips, the Commercial Director of Hero UK, said demand for gluten-free products has grown significantly in recent years.
The deal between the Village Bakery and Hero AG would not have been possible without funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
Robin Jones, joint managing director of The Village Bakery, said: "We"ve had a processing and wholesale air max 24-7 marketing grant of 620,000 from the Welsh Assembly Government towards the cost of the equipment.
"We believe there is a clear opportunity for growth, providing long term, secure jobs."
"It"s a 30% grant so we have also nike air max invested a great deal of money in this development.
Rhodri Morgan said: "The Village Bakery is a great example of the enterprising kind of company we see developing in Wales."
