Hot water helps in diminishing the hardness or the toughness of stains. This way you will simply easily scrub away. What it important to remember though not to put very hot water. Make sure that is just hot enough will work just fine. Leave the hot water in the stainless steel sink for a good five to ten minutes.

Once you have done this, the next thing that you need to do is to pour bleach into the water. The measurement of the bleach is about a capful. Leave the water with the bleach solution in the sink for about two hours to stay there. This is when the chemicals of the bleach will take effect in cleaning the stainless steel sink. The bleach likewise makes the sink more vulnerable as it also loosens the stains and will bring back that luster to the sink finishing in doing so. It is left in there for two hours to achieve maximum results which also makes it easier to scrub and clean the sink afterwards.

The next thing that needs to be done is to move away any objects around the sink. If there are utensils or any items near its edges, then it is best to keep them and remove them from there. When you are in the process of soaking, what you need to do is to soak sheets of paper napkins or paper towels and to put them around the rim of the stainless steel sink. Make sure that these sheets do not overlap to the countertop alright and press the sheets evenly. Allow these sheets of paper towels to soak on the edges of your sink and leave them there for around two hours. Doing this will add up to your cleaning activity and will ensure that your sink is tidy.

The last step that needs to be done is to drain the solution that you have placed in your stainless steel sink. Remove the paper towel sheets which you have left in the edges and use an old toothbrush dipped in cold water to scrub away the stains. At this point, the stains have gotten softer and are already easier to take out. Once you are done, let the sink dry and viola! You have a clean and glimmering sink again!
